Boulder, Colo. – (April 25, 2012) –Mile High Organics, a leading organic produce and natural grocery delivery service, is the first online grocery retailer in the United States to receive USDA organic certification, the company announced today. The voluntary certification assures customers of their commitment to transparency and traceability, and to supporting organic farmers through the delivery of high-quality food.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture organic certification guarantees that Mile High Organics’ food meets their standards, such as the food is grown without synthetic fertilizers, insecticides, herbicides or growth hormones. The food also has to be stored away from “conventional” food that are not certified organic, such as fair-trade imported rice. It is these audited processes that ensure consumers that all products are properly documented all the way from source to each household.
Mile High Organics was certified by California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF). CCOF certifies to the standards of the USDA National Organic Program and promotes organic food and agriculture through its premier organic certification program, trade support, producer and consumer education and political advocacy.
Mile High Organics is the only Colorado retailer that supplies completely non-genetically modified foods, free from harmful pesticides and synthetic chemical inputs, and grown in organically managed fields. Mile High Organics Launches Colorado’s Only Certified Organic
and GMO-Free Dairy Home Delivery
The Colorado retailer is answering the consumer call for GMO free dairy!
(Boulder, CO – May 6, 2011) - Mile High Organics, the leading organic produce and natural grocery delivery service in Colorado, has launched two new lines of GMO-free dairy for their members in the Front Range. Mile High Organics serves Colorado's front range from Colorado Springs to Denver, Boulder and Ft. Collins.
The first, from Organic Valley, is the only certified organic dairy available for weekly delivery in Colorado. Organic Valley is a mission-driven cooperative, owned by family farmers since 1988. Their milk is produced locally by Rocky Mountain family farmers without antibiotics, synthetic hormones or pesticides. Organic Valley's animals are raised humanely and given certified organic feed—never any animal by-products—and their pastures are certified organic. Mile High will carry Organic Valley’s organic milk, butter, eggs and cheese lines.
To compliment Organic Valley’s certified organic dairy line, Mile High also introduced a full line of glass bottled, 100% natural milk from Morning Fresh Dairy in Ft. Collins. Morning Fresh Dairy is a family owned farm located in Ft. Collins since 1894. Their milk contains no artificial hormones, no pesticides, no preservatives and no rBGH. They grow their our own GMO-free alfalfa and corn to feed their cows so that they can ensure the highest quality feed without the use of harmful pesticides. Morning Fresh has their own herd of cows so they can assure that they are not injected with hormones to increase their milk production.
